The antioxidant activity of ripe and unripe noni fruit was evaluated at biochemical and cellular levels using established assays that measure radical scavenging, iron reducing and metal chelating potentials. Ascorbic acid, total phenolic and total flavonoid contents of the fruits were also determined. The results suggest that noni is a source of antioxidants that may help prevent disease.
