Feeding of noni to chickens increased ATP citrate lyase (ACLY) and fatty acid synthase (FASN) in the acute and chronic experimental conditions, respectively. During acute heat stress, it increased ACCα, but reduced FASN and ACLY expression. During chronic heat stress, noni up regulated ACCα and FASN, but it down regulated ACLY. These findings suggest that noni modulates heat shock protein expression. (original abstract available at https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/29230177).
