Anti-inflammatory and potential cancer chemopreventive constituents of the fruits of Morinda citrifolia (Noni).

A new anthraquinone and two new saccharide fatty acid esters, along with 10 known compounds were isolated from noni fruit. Several of these inhibited 12-O-tetradecanoylphorbol-13-acetate (TPA)-induced inflammation of mice ears and exhibited moderate in vivo inhibition of Epstein-Barr virus.
