Ethanolic extracts of noni fruit and leaves inhibited adverse skin responses in the dinitrofluorobenzene (DNFB)-induced triphasic cutaneous reaction and picryl chloride-induced contact dermatitis (PC-CD) tests. The noni leaf extract reduced degranulation from RBL-2H3 cells. The active anti-degranulation compounds in noni leaf extract were ursolic acid, rutin and kaempferol-3-O-α-L-rhamnopyranosyl-(1→6)-β-D-glucopyranoside. The result suggest that noni fruits and leaves may help reduce allergy symptoms. (original abstract available online at https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/25002809).
